Ph.d. Nataliya Kulyk IMMER Group’s head of R&R department participated in EAFA/FPE Sustainability Committee meeting and visited an environmentally friendly and resource-conserving pyrolysis plant “PYRAL AG” in Freiberg.
EAFA/FPE Sustainability Committee meeting was held on 27 and 28 September in Dresden. Meeting was focused on the targets and challenges of the flexible packaging industry within circular economy. Important issue was the role of flexible packaging and its contribution in food waste prevention and resource-efficient solutions.
The participants visited “PYRAL AG” plant in Freiberg where the state-of-the-art pyrolysis technology is implemented. That is the progressive solution for modern waste management. 100% utilization of municipal and commercial waste, including used packaging; recovering metals with organic adhesions; independence of electricity suppliers by generating in-house electricity from heat recovery there are only a few benefits of that method.
